Stonewyrm is a Minecraft Forge server built around exploration, heavily modded progression,
unique playable races, and deeper fantasy themes. This page is here to walk you through
everything step by step so you can install the modpack, join Discord, get verified,

Before You Start
We officially support the CurseForge client for installation and setup.
Other launchers may work, but we do not provide support for them.
Step-by-Step Setup
01
Download CurseForge
To play on Stonewyrm, we strongly recommend using the CurseForge client.
This is the launcher we officially support. Other launchers may work,
but if something breaks, we may not be able to help troubleshoot it.
If you do not already have CurseForge installed, install it now. If you already use it,
make sure it is fully updated before continuing. Starting with the latest version helps avoid
import issues, launcher bugs, and missing profile problems.
03
Download the Modpack
Next, download the Stonewyrm modpack ZIP file. This is the file you will import into CurseForge.
Save it somewhere easy to find, such as your Downloads folder or desktop.
After downloading, you can compare your file's SHA256 hash to the value above to confirm it matches the official Stonewyrm package.
04
Import the Modpack
Open the CurseForge client and import the ZIP file you just downloaded.
This will create the Stonewyrm profile in your launcher.
How to Import
Open the CurseForge client.
Go to Minecraft.
Click Import.
Select the Stonewyrm ZIP file you downloaded.
Wait for CurseForge to finish building the profile.
05
Set Your Memory (RAM)
Stonewyrm is a large modded experience and requires more memory than vanilla Minecraft.
You must increase your allocated RAM before launching the pack.
Recommended Settings
Minimum: 8192 MB (8 GB) – May run, but can lag
Preferred: 12288 MB (12 GB) – Recommended for most players
High Performance: 16384 MB (16 GB) – Best experience
How to modify the RAM
Open CurseForge.
Click the gear icon for Settings.
Under Game Specific, click Minecraft.
Scroll down to Java Settings.
Find Allocated Memory.
Click the value on the right and enter your desired amount.
What we recommend
12288
If you experience lag, freezing, or crashes, increase your memory toward 16 GB if your system allows it.
06
Join the Discord
Before you can fully access the community and finish setup, you need to join the Stonewyrm Discord.
This is where server updates, community information, rules, verification, and certificate details are handled.
After joining Discord, review the community rules and complete the verification process.
Verification may be manual, so it can take a little time before staff process everything.
Important Reminder
Read the rules carefully before proceeding.
React or verify however the Discord instructions tell you to.
Please be patient while staff review your verification if it is manual.
08
Get Certificate Thumbprint
During setup, you will need the server certificate thumbprint. This is required for connecting properly.
Inside the Discord server, go to the certificate information channel and copy the thumbprint from there.
Certificate Channel
#YOUR-CERTIFICATE-CHANNEL
Replace the placeholder channel above with your actual Discord channel name once you have it.
09
Launch Stonewyrm
Once the modpack is imported and your memory is set correctly, launch Stonewyrm from the CurseForge profile.
The first startup can take a while. That is normal. Minecraft may appear to hang for a moment while mods,
assets, and supporting files finish loading.
First Launch Notes
The first launch is always slower than normal.
Do not panic if it seems like it is taking a while.
Keep your certificate thumbprint nearby in case you are prompted for it.
10
(Automatic Server Setup)
If this is your first time installing the Stonewyrm modpack, you can skip this step.
The server is automatically added to your Minecraft multiplayer list when the modpack is imported.
What to Expect
Under the custom Stonewyrm launcher profile.
Go to Multiplayer.
You should already see Stonewyrm in the server list.
Is the Server Missing?
Click Multiplayer.
Click Add Server.
Server Name: Stonewyrm
Server Address: minecraft.stonewyrm.com
Click Done to save it.
Server Address
minecraft.stonewyrm.com
You only need to manually add the server if it does not appear automatically or if it was removed.
11
Connect to the Server
After adding Stonewyrm to your multiplayer list, click the server and connect.
When you do, the client will validate your current setup and check for any required modpack updates automatically.
What to Expect
Click the Stonewyrm server in your multiplayer list.
The client will check your installed files and compare them to the server.
If changes are needed, the modpack may update automatically.
Sometimes the client will close and relaunch itself after applying updates.
If that happens, let it finish, then reopen the game and connect again.
This is normal behavior. If the client closes and reopens, it usually means files were updated to match the server.
12
Enter Certificate String
When you fully connect for the first time, Minecraft may ask you for the server certificate thumbprint.
This is the thumbprint you copied earlier from Discord.
First-Time Connection
When prompted, paste in the certificate thumbprint from Discord.
Confirm the prompt so Minecraft can trust the server certificate.
After that, continue joining the server normally.
You may only need to do this the first time, unless the certificate changes in the future.
